it's official, no one north of I-10 knows how to properly boil crawfish... pro tip- you add the seasoning to the WATER you don't Sprinkle it on top AFTER its boiled!!! yes your profit margin will be less but goddam! at least the crawfish will be seasoned properly... bought 5 lbs and not one dam tail managed to slide out of the shell, this means it was under cooked. it's so easy, dump all the seasoning in the water, bring to a rapid boil, put the crawfish in, bring it back to a boil, wait three minutes, shut off the gas, let it sit for 3 minutes, results??? PERFECTLY BOILED crawfish!

Had lunch there. Ate the meatloaf special with mashed potatoes, gravy and cole slaw. It is that type of business. Very busy for lunch with almost all locals. Good home cooking at very reasonable prices

Great place for catfish. Get the combo of catfish strips and catfish ettouffe. It's some fine eatin' fo sho.

Worth going 3 miles off the highway for! Shrimp was off tha chain. A little pricey for the location and being that it is a "shack" but everything was fresh and made to order. Shrimp were large and cooked to perfection - would definitely go back next time we are driving through Monroe. Yum!

The food is excellent but the service is usually always poor. Waiters, owners and staff seem to have an err of superiority about them and you will have to wait around most the time for food and drink refills. Atmosphere 3.5*- nice feel of southern hospitality not alot of character but nice enough. Service 2*- have been here multiple times because my grandfather loves it and of all the times I have only had one good waiter and the owners are always usually snobs. Onion Rings 3.5*- good flavor with some good tasting roumalade sauce but batter falls off of rings with little resistance. Crawfish 4.5*- some well seasoned and big enough crawfish. More seasoned than alot of places I go to with just enough spice to wake u up. Oysters 4*- I love fried oysters and they have some pretty decent ones for not being coastal. Coleslaw 1*- do not get. Has no flavor and adds nothing to your meal. Kids 3.5*- kids like going over to the crawfish tank and like the tvs. They do always bring a big box of colors to the table so that helps. They usually get corn dog and fries good enough but really nothing more special than frozen food.

Located off exit 108 it's a diner that's a little ways out of town. It's an older building with a parking lot that could use some work. Food is just average and the prices are a bit high for what you get in my opinion. We eat here occasionally just because it's close to our home and it's better than fast food. Wait staff an be unpredictable in service.

Awesome place to eat. Have to eat here every time were in town. Love their Poboys! The shrimp Poboy is awesome - the sauce and dipping gravy make the sandwich special and like no other you can get anywhere I've found. My husband prefers the ham poboy. Kids LOVE their food. A MUST stop place.
